Who are we recruiting for?

We are recruiting for a successful and innovative IPP that develop, owni, and operate utility-scale energy projects. With over 3GW of projects already in operation and a robust development pipeline exceeding 7GW, our client is at the forefront of the green energy transition, tackling the toughest challenges in renewable energy.

What will you be doing?

• Build and Maintain Strategic Relationships

  • Forge strong partnerships with utilities, Independent System Operators (ISOs), government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Cultivate relationships with utility and commercial & industrial (C&I) customers to secure capacity contracts and optimize revenue streams.

• Lead Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Origination

  • Originate and negotiate bankable PPAs, energy storage agreements, and other contractual structures to enhance generation revenues and manage risk effectively.

• Collaborate with Energy Trading Team

  • Work closely with the energy trading team to develop and assess revenue strategies continually.
  • Evaluate market conditions, customer feedback, and regulatory landscapes to capitalize on new business opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.

• Support Strategic Investments and Market Entries

  • Collaborate with strategy and development teams to support investment decisions in new projects and markets.
  • Conduct rigorous analysis to assess risk-adjusted returns and optimize revenue strategies.

Are you the ideal candidate?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Energy Management, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing complex power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other commercial contracts within the energy sector.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in energy trading, portfolio management, or origination and structuring of energy sales agreements (e.g., PPAs, CFDs).
• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
