We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global LNG company committed to delivering clean, affordable, and reliable energy to emerging markets. Known for its innovation, safety culture, and environmental stewardship, our client is expanding and seeking a skilled Technical Accounting Manager to join their high-performing finance team.

What will you be doing?

As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will lead technical accounting initiatives and ensure revenue compliance across complex energy transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and documenting accounting positions on complex transactions including commodity trading, derivatives, leases, and consolidations.
• Reviewing contracts and providing technical accounting analysis under US GAAP (ASC 330, 606, 815, 842).
• Managing customer invoicing and ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition.
• Leading the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Supporting internal controls, SOX compliance, and coordination with external auditors.

Are you the ideal candidate?

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 5+ years’ experience in energy or commodity accounting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience applying ASC 330, 606, 815, and 842.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems (OneStream, SAP preferred).
• Strong writing and analytical skills for documenting technical issues.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with global teams.
