Job title: Senior/Project Engineer

Location: Hybrid/Remote – UK Preferred

Who are we recruiting for?

Our client, a pioneering waste-to-fuels company known for its innovative approach in addressing the climate emergency, is seeking a dedicated Senior/Project Engineer. Specialising in converting waste materials into sustainable fuels including green methanol for the maritime & aviation industry.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager to plan, execute, and monitor capital projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Developing and managing cost control systems to ensure alignment with project budgets and financial objectives.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines and milestones.
  • Assisting in project scheduling, budget management, and tracking progress against milestones.
  • Supporting procurement activities, including vendor coordination and material/service alignment with project requirements.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, status updates, and meeting minutes.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential project risks in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Preparing projects for gate readiness and delivering compelling reports/presentations to management.
  • Managing project interfaces and serving as the primary contact for project-related issues.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role, preferably in capital projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial analysis and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The right to work in country.
