Location: Hybrid – Based in Vienna, Austria or remote within the EU

What will you be doing?
Designing and refining trading algorithms that drive real-time power trading performance
Leveraging vast data sets to build forecasting and optimization models
Collaborating with quants, software engineers, and energy trading experts
Bringing concepts from ideation to live trading environments at speed
Leading innovative research in reinforcement learning, time series forecasting, and real-world AI deployment
Are you the ideal candidate?
PhD or MSc in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or a related technical field
Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Background in algorithm design, AI/ML systems, and numerical modeling
Experience in quantitative trading, energy markets, or complex time series analysis
Fluent in English, with a creative and inspired approach to problem-solving
