Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Crawley (Hybrid working – 40% office-based, flexibility considered)
Who are we recruiting for?
A pioneering UK-based cleantech business that is transforming the energy landscape with award-winning solar thermal technology. Their mission is to drive the transition to a zero-carbon future by decarbonising heat and hot water, a key contributor to global emissions. Following a successful Series B fundraising, they are embarking on an exciting growth phase and are seeking a Project Manager to establish and lead their Project Management function.
This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious and high-profile clean energy projects while collaborating with a team of inspired, motivated, and industry-leading professionals committed to sustainability.
What will you be doing?
  • Leading and establishing the Project Management function, taking full ownership of end-to-end project delivery from sales lead integration, engineering solutions, costing, commercial negotiations, installation, and handover.
  • Ensuring excellence in project delivery by meeting client objectives and delivering on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Developing best-in-class processes in project and programme management in collaboration with the COO.
  • Engaging and managing key clients, fostering relationships with new and existing stakeholders to support business growth.
  • Providing technical leadership, collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Commercial, and Installation teams.
  • Building and mentoring a strong team, leading dynamic professionals across multiple sites and geographies.
Are you the ideal candidate?
We are looking for a determined and successful Project Manager with a strong background in HVAC, Building Services, or HaaS and the following skills:
✅ Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject (Building Services, HVAC, or HaaS).
  • Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM PMQ, AGILE).
  • 15+ years of experience in project management within relevant industries.
✅ Desirable Expertise:
  • Membership of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).
  • Knowledge of engineering drawing/design tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Strong understanding of standards and regulations for heating and electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Experience collaborating with architects, construction companies, and engineering disciplines.
  • Prior experience in solar thermal or other renewable energy technologies is advantageous.
