Job Title: Project Engineer

Who are we recruiting for?
Our client is a global leader in Oil & Gas. They are looking for a qualified Naval Architect/Marine Engineering professional to provide expertise and lead naval architecture and engineering projects for their Newbuilds, Conversion Projects, and existing fleet.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead naval architecture and marine engineering efforts for newbuild and conversion projects.
  • Ensure the highest industry standards are met for engineering, technical, operational, and safety measures, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement safety, environmental, and risk management standards throughout all project phases.
  • Oversee design and engineering project objectives, ensuring alignment with company values and processes.
  • Review and approve designs, specifications, and documentation for vendors, shipyards, and equipment.
  • Support HAZOP, HAZID, FMECA, and RAM studies, and manage change for existing and new projects.
  • Manage and develop project engineering scopes of work, from front-end engineering to detailed engineering.
  • Supervise contractors, ensuring work scope specifications, standards, and regulatory compliance are met.
  • Provide technical support for conversions and other major modification projects.
  • Evaluate new technologies for infrastructure, ensuring they meet project objectives.
  • Travel to international project sites, shipyards, and suppliers as required by project demands.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Marine, or related field) is required.
  • 5+ years of project engineering experience in shipbuilding, offshore oil and gas, or maritime projects.
  • Experience with LNG/FSRU operations and conversions is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel design, Classification Society Rules, Flag State, and Regulatory requirements (IGC Code).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite; experience with MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • PMP certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams under pressure, while delivering results effectively.
