Job Title: Marine Superintendent

Who are we recruiting for?
We’re working with a globally respected ship management company that operates a fleet of over 65 tankers, including oil and chemical carriers. With a multinational team and equality-driven culture, they are known for their collaborative and inclusive environment. As part of their continued growth, they’re looking to hire a qualified Marine Superintendent to support their Singapore operations. This role will play a critical part in safe, compliant, and efficient vessel operations.
What will you be doing?
- Provide day-to-day operational support to a fleet of oil and chemical tankers.
- Ensure full compliance with SMS, MACN policy, IMO, Flag, and Port State regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, ensuring continual improvement.
- Prepare for and support PSC, Rightship, Flag, Class, P&I, and third-party inspections.
- Plan and conduct ISM, ISPS, and MLC audits.
- Liaise with masters and crew, ensuring smooth and safe operational execution.
- Ensure KPI performance targets for the fleet are met or exceeded.
- Assist with updates and improvement of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Be a key point of contact in emergency and contingency situations.
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Master Mariner certification is essential.
- Must have sailed as Master on oil and chemical tankers, for at least 6 months.
- Prior shore-based experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Must have experience handling vessels carrying a variety of oils and chemicals (MR/Handy size preferred).
- Excellent understanding of international regulations and QHSE standards.
- Singapore national or holding Singapore PR is strongly preferred due to EP constraints.
