They are seeking a motivated and creative Development Manager to play a pivotal role in their growing portfolio of renewable energy projects in Japan. What will you be doing?

As Development Manager, you will oversee the development of renewable energy projects from the early stages through to the final investment decision. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading project development plans and coordinating diverse project teams to ensure timely execution and project success.
• Managing project budgets, timelines, and performance goals, while identifying risks and opportunities.
• Supporting project business cases, contributing to senior-level reporting on project progress and investment decisions.
• Managing procurement processes and ensuring that the most feasible project CAPEX is developed.
• Coordinating third-party contractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety standards.
• Working closely with financial and legal teams to support the investment process and ensure project solvency.
• Maintaining high health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You are a determined and inspired individual with:

• A qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering, project management, or construction of power generating facilities and/or transmission/electrical systems.
• Proven involvement in procurement processes such as EPC contracts.
• A track record of contributing to successful investment decisions in large infrastructure projects, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work in matrix-structured project teams.
• Fluent in English (TOEIC 950 or more) and Japanese (N1 or more).
• A strong appreciation for renewable energies and proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
