Job title: Renewable Energy Project Developer

Who are we recruiting for?
We are partnering with a leading client that specialiszes in developing, building, and operating wind and solar PV projects worldwide. They are actively advancing in the power-to-X sectors, committed to sustainable energy solutions on a global scale.

What will you be doing?
As a Renewable Energy Project Developer, you will lead the development of onshore renewable energy projects in the UK, overseeing their progression from initial stages to the ready-to-build phase. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project development: Guide utility-scale renewable energy generation and storage projects through early development stages to construction readiness.

  • Planning and compliance: Manage project consent, discharge planning conditions, and support Engineering and Construction teams through pre-construction and construction stages, ensuring compliance with planning consents.

Are you the ideal candidate?
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in UK-based renewable energy project development, with strong stakeholder management skills and experience driving projects through consenting phases.

  • Skills: Proficient in negotiating land agreements, managing planning processes, and creating detailed project plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a robust culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) practices throughout project development.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and financial models, presenting them for financial investment approval.
  • Manage early-stage development, allocate resources effectively, and identify and manage project risks.
  • Negotiate land agreements, leases, access, and easements with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with EPC teams for seamless project transition into construction phase.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in renewable energy or infrastructure project development.
  • Skilled in negotiating land agreements and managing planning processes.
  • Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
  • Valid driving license, proactive, diligent, and effective time manager.
