What will you be doing?

Lead Tolling Contract Negotiation and Structuring
- Spearhead the end-to-end process of negotiating and structuring tolling contracts, securing favorable terms, and mitigating risks.
- Identify potential opportunities and develop strategic approaches to align contracts with the company’s overarching goals.

Develop Term Sheets and Support Customer Negotiations
- Create detailed term sheets to serve as the foundation for negotiations.
- Provide robust support to customers, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding, and facilitate successful deal closures with persuasive presentations and in-depth analyses.

Collaborate with Legal Counsel for Agreement Execution
- Work closely with legal counsel to review, negotiate, and finalize definitive agreements, translating commercial terms into legally sound contracts.
- Oversee the execution process to ensure all conditions are met and agreements are accurately documented.

Ensure Financial Alignment and Strategic Deal Structuring
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure financial viability and strategic fit of deals.
- Conduct detailed financial modeling, risk assessment, and scenario analysis to support informed decision-making.

Manage Customer Relationships
- Serve as the primary contact for customers throughout the negotiation process, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Manage customer expectations and maintain high levels of satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required; an advanced degree (MBA, JD) is preferred.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tolling contract origination, negotiation, and structuring within large utilities or trading companies operating globally.
- Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of commercial principles within the utility/trading industry.
- Proven ability to negotiate favorable terms and manage complex contract discussions.
- Deep understanding of energy market dynamics and regulatory environments.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including legal and finance departments.
- Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in English; additional languages like Italian or Spanish are a plus.
